Yes, we would be glad to have you attend our meetings, which are held every Tuesday from 6:45 p.m. – 8:45 p.m. at the Markham
Village Library on 6031 Hwy 7, just east of Markham Road. (When you enter the library from the parking lot, it's the first
room on your right).
We have a differrent theme every Tuesday for our meetings. Members and guests are encouragement to participate.When you arrive, please ask for our Sergeant-at-Arms and I will help acquaint you. You will be required to fill a guest-form which will be used by a member to introduce guests into the club.
There are 3 free visits for guests, after that you can comfortably decide to become a member of our club. At the meetings, I
encourage you to acquaint yourself with the speakers, and also other members in the club on how to get started. We learn a
lot from listening and from actually participating, I recommend you carry a journal / notepad and pen handy to take notes / reminders of important upcoming events.
Membership in Toastmasters is open to anyone over 18 years of age. The annual fee is capped at $180 per year, 12 months beginning from September and is prorated depending on when you join. The cost includes full set of Competent Communicator and Competent Leadership manuals, a year’s subscription with Toastmasters International and includes the highly acclaimed Toastmasters Worldwide Magazine mailed directly to you every month. As a member, you will also receive discounts on events such as workshops and social functions. You are free to join as many other clubs concurrently as you may wish and there is no condition whatsoever that you are required to maintain your membership with a specific club.
Last year our club is celebrated 30 years of existence and has over 62 members. This comprises of about 40 returning members and 22 guests who decided to join, all dedicated Toastmasters from diverse cultures and professions. On average, meeting attendance varies between 35 to 45 participants and I assure you that you will not fill out of place at all.
